A senior Buddhist monk on Thursday questioned the need for introducing sex education in Sri Lanka, arguing that previous generations led stable family lives without such programs.
Professor Kotapitiye Rahula Thera made the remarks while addressing a Sangha convention in Colombo that organizers said was convened to discuss what they described as growing threats to Buddhism, the Buddhist clergy and the country’s cultural heritage.
