Flash floods devastate Nepal’s Rasuwa as rescuers search for missing people

The scale of the destruction caused by an avalanche of rock and ice in the Himalayas a week ago, is becoming greater by the day. Landslides triggered flooding that wiped away entire villages, roads, bridges, homes and livelihoods. Rescue teams have now recovered more than 1,000 bodies from the mud and sludge. The district of Rasuwa in northern Nepal is the hardest-hit area.
