As a result of the severe weather conditions prevailing across the island, a massive landslide has occurred in the Rambuk Ela area of the Alawathugoda Police Division on the Kandy-Matale road. This sudden disaster was reported at around 1.00 am yesterday (29) in the vicinity of the Ankumbura and Alawathugoda road, and the village has been almost completely destroyed due to the landslide.
