A rumor spread in the social media that famous musician Sangeet Wijesuriya, who had declared his political support for the Malima government during the elections, made a statement criticizing the current government during a long video discussion with anchor Kingsley Ratnayake in Australia.
On the basis of that statement, at the cabinet press conference today (25th), the media persons called his name and questioned Minister Nalinda Jayatissa about the relevant statement and it was reported that Sangeet had met President Anura Kumara this evening.
Later, he released a separate video saying that his statement should not be misunderstood and that it had been misinterpreted by the 'Facebook page'.
