A number of important facts were recently revealed at the Fort Magistrate's Court in connection with the investigations into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks. Speaking on behalf of the investigators, Additional Solicitor General of the Attorney General's Department and President's Counsel Dileepa Peiris, quoted a statement by Azath Maulana and stated that Tuan Suresh Sale had made a phone call to Azath Maulana on the day of the attack.
Through that phone call, he had taken the phone of a person on the beach near the Taj Samudra Hotel in Galle Face and had asked him to help him and drop him off at a relevant location in a panic. Suresh Sale had disconnected the phone when the Maulana said that he was in Batticaloa. Mr. Dileepa Peiris confirmed to the court that the person in question was Abdul Latif Jameel, who had detonated the bomb at the Tropical Inn in Dehiwala and died.Here is the video of Jameel
